Can I donate anonymously via Oath?
All federal contributions are reported to the FEC and made public. Campaigns aren’t necessarily required to report individual donors who give under $200, but they can, and there’s no guarantee of anonymity.
Contributions to state and local races follow each state’s own campaign finance laws, and you should assume your donation could be made public. Oath is a donor advising platform that facilitates donations directly from you to whichever recipients you choose, so reporting requirements depend on which candidates and organizations you support.
If you’d prefer your donations not be made public, we recommend giving to registered 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit organizations.
