# How do I know that the recipients featured on Oath are legitimate?

Oath carefully vets every candidate and organization listed on the platform.

For candidates, this process includes verifying that they’re registered with the appropriate federal, state, or local campaign authority, and that donations are distributed to an associated account.

For organizations, we rely on our trusted network of donor advisors to vet and verify every listing. You will never find a scam PAC on Oath.

If you’re donating to a candidate, you can confirm your donation was received by checking their campaign finance report, which is available online.
