# How is Oath different from other donation platforms?

**[Oath](https://app.oath.vote/?p=mx&ref=prd_dhc)** is a donor-first platform. That means we work to support you and your giving experience.

Our goal is to help you direct every dollar to where it will have the greatest marginal impact, including federal, state, and local elections as well as organizations with a track record of success. Most donors use Oath for our data and recommendations, since having a trusted donor advisor in your pocket allows you to give smarter.

Another big difference between Oath and other platforms is our commitment to your data privacy. Oath doesn’t sell or share donor contact information (e.g., email, phone number) with the recipients of your donations, so you can support the races and organizations you care about without the spam calls, emails, or texts that often follow donating elsewhere.
