How do I contact the donors? / What is Oath’s policy on contacting donors?
Recipients may not contact any donors who give through Oath, including sending thank you notes. Our donors are often donating to tens (sometimes hundreds) of recipients at a time, so even a thank you note from each can create an overwhelming number of unwanted contacts (please review our full "Do Not Contact" policy included below).
Recipients should refrain from contacting donors via email, text, phone, or mail and develop a process to mark all Oath donors as Do Not Contact in their database or CRM. Following this policy is essential, as it ensures we can continue offering our donors the opportunity to support your work.
Any recipients who do not abide by this do not contact policy may be removed from the platform.
Oath’s "Do Not Contact" policy:
Oath does not share donors' contact information. We kindly ask that you do not attempt to contact donors who give through Oath for any reason! This includes all methods of communication - email, text, call, postcards, letters, etc. Donors using Oath are often donating to many candidates at once so even a thank-you note from each candidate can lead to dozens of unwanted contacts.
