What is Oath’s policy on contacting donors?

Recipients may not contact any donors who give through Oath under any circumstances. Our donors are often contributing to tens (sometimes hundreds) of recipients at a time, so even a short thank-you note from a few campaigns can create an overwhelming amount of unwanted contacts.

Please mark all Oath donors as “Do Not Contact” in your systems. These tags are now included in all payout reports. Following this privacy policy is essential, as it ensures we can continue offering our donors the opportunity to support your work. Any recipients who do not abide by this policy may be removed from the platform.

Oath’s “Do Not Contact” policy:

Oath does not share donors’ contact information. We kindly ask that you do not attempt to contact donors who give through Oath for any reason! This includes all methods of communication - email, text, call, postcards, letters, etc. Donors using Oath are often donating to many candidates at once so even a thank-you note from each candidate can lead to dozens of unwanted contacts.
