Onboarding
I have questions about the onboarding process.
- The account is ‘Pending.’ What does this mean?
- How is Stripe different from other payment processors?
- I have another Stripe account. Can I connect with that one instead?
- What should the entity be listed as when connecting to Stripe? (nonprofit vs. business)
- The campaign or organization doesn’t have a headshot or logo yet. What should I do?
- The admin dashboard is not loading. What should I do?
- The campaign is in a state that does not provide a state campaign ID number. What should I do?
- The campaign is in a state that is not required to register with the electoral board and therefore does not have the required registration documentation to finalize the submission. What should I do?
- I see “Your account needs to be set up. Please try logging back in once your primary contact has set up your account” in my dashboard. What should I do?
- What does a signed bank letter look like?
- The campaign/organization does not have an Employer Identification Number (EIN). Is a Social Security Number (SSN) an acceptable alternative to an EIN?
- I do not have a copy of my IRS Form SS-4. What are alternative documents can I use to validate my EIN?
- I am getting a ‘Please complete all required fields’ error message while submitting the form. What should I do?
- Our organization doesn’t have a website yet — what do we do?
- The invite code I first received is now invalid. What should I do?
- How long does it take for the account to be onboarded?
- Can the campaign or organization’s primary contact be changed?
- What is the difference between a responsible party and a primary contact?
- What is a primary contact?
- What documents or information do I need to provide during onboarding?
- What is a “Responsible Party”?
