# What is Oath?

Oath is the one-stop shop for political giving that helps donors maximize their impact to candidates and organizations. Oath has directed $100M+ to candidates and organizations since launching in 2022. We have been profiled by [**Politico**](https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/02/06/democrats-campaign-donation-app-00139666), [**TIME**](https://time.com/6333967/oath-online-fundraising-politics/), [**Bloomberg**](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-10-22/key-us-election-races-to-watch-democrats-use-moneyball-strategy-across-states), and other [**major media outlets**](https://app.oath.vote/gallery).

All donations made through Oath move directly from the donor to recipient. Candidates and organizations do not need to spend time or money to solicit funds on Oath, so many recipients think of these donations as “magic money”!
